Team behind Developments in Mycelium Applications

Our Intention:

Strengthening foundational knowledge of mycelium 
Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of key concepts in the mycelium industry, including cultivation techniques, commercial applications, and biotechnological advancements.
Develop entrepreneurial skills by training learners to articulate complex ideas effectively, culminating in concise 30-second pitches to enhance professional communication.

Fostering creative collaboration in a diverse learning community
Facilitate engagement among a diverse cohort of participants united by a shared passion for mycelium innovation.
Create opportunities for team-based problem-solving, peer feedback, and collaborative projects to drive creative solutions in the field.

Cultivating an innovative, beginner’s mindset through critical analysis and curious inquiry
Encourage critical thinking and interdisciplinary approaches to mycelium technology, integrating perspectives from science and entrepreneurship.
Promote intersectional learning, where participants examine the connections between mycology, environment, science, and socio-economic impacts.

This course is designed to be interactive between participants and speakers. The hope is to equip and support learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills while nurturing a dynamic, forward-thinking community in the mycelium/mushroom industry.

Daniel Silberstein

Product Industrialization Manager

University studies in international business, with a focus on sustainable development. Certified by Mycelia Academy in Mycelium and Substrate Production. Malting and Brewing Science by the Master Brewers Association of the Americas.
10 years of experience in food and beverage, 8 years in California’s brewing industry. Excited to support projects in the bioeconomy through advising on food processing and business development. 
Currently, Product Industrialization Manager for Terra Bioindustries exploring new markets and product applications for our upcycled protein and sugar.

Tatiana von Rheinbaben

Fellow at Vireo Advisors

 A global citizen with a background in molecular biology and environmental engineering and science. After an internship at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany and an internship at The Not Company (NotCo) in Chile, Tati worked for the animal rights organization Surge and speaker and educator Ed Winters (known as Earthling Ed) for four years. Now she works for the biotechnology consultancy Vireo Advisors. 
Tati also worked one year at Refarm’d helping dairy farmers become oat milk makers and co-founded the Farm Transition Academy. While she is no longer involved with any of these organizations, she is still involved in the farm transition space. 

Felipe Martin

Mushroom Cultivator

with experience in innovative agricultural techniques. His journey into agriculture began on an aquaponics farm, where he learned the art of mushroom cultivation alongside sustainable farming practices. His experience sourcing coffee in Latin America for Cambio Coffee gave him a strong appreciation for ethical sourcing with direct engagement with producers.
Felipe is the founder of All Caps Farm selling fresh, local and sustainable mushrooms.

Technical Consultant

Creative and motivated Software Engineer. As a fresh graduate, I offer strong hands-on skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a knack for innovative solutions. I bridge theoretical research with practical application in IT sector and its applications, staying updated with the latest industry advancements. I thrive in tech companies, leveraging flexibility, resilience, patience, and time management to tackle challenges. My goal is to contribute to meaningful projects and continuously grow as a developer.
